What Is Homestead Haven
The Snyder Homestead Haven is two things at once.
It’s a quarterly festival where our community comes together on our land to experience the seasons, get their hands in the dirt, and be part of something that feels like it’s been missing from modern life. And it’s a living model of what it looks like when a family makes the decision to actually inhabit the land – not perform homesteading for social media, but genuinely live alongside nature in a way that’s regenerative, intentional, and real.
What You Experience at a Festival
Each festival follows the season. What you see in spring is different from fall. Expect hands-on activities, time in the garden and with animals, real food, real conversation with other families, and the kind of day that your kids will remember.
The Wonderland Philosophy
We don’t perform homesteading. We’re not doing this for the aesthetic. We are building a wonderland, where you can be inspired and this is a blueprint for what’s possible!The Snyder Homestead is a real working property where our family lives, grows food, raises animals, and builds a life in harmony with the land. When you visit, you see what it actually looks like – not the Instagram version, but the real one. Beautiful and muddy and honest.
As I write this (Mitch) I see that Jessica is literally seeding our front pasture for us getting our milking cow. We live and breathe this stuff 🙂
