We’re Jessica and Mitchell Snyder. We live on 10 acres in the south metro of Minnesota with our family, and we’re building something we know our state needs.
Self Perfected Minnesota is the local hub for everything we do – local events, community, education, and a way of living that puts family, personal growth, and real connection at the center of everything.

What We’re Building
Our mission is simple and enormous at the same time: raise the awareness and intelligence of our community so the next generation of kids are capable of things most people don’t even realize are possible.
We’re not fighting the current system. We’re making the current system irrelevant – through better tools, stronger families, and communities that actually hold each other to a higher standard.
The north star that guides everything we do is one principle:
“Guiding myself in thought, word and deed to always, in all ways, direct all things to the best possible outcome for all.”
That’s our way of life. We live by principles. And it changes everything when you actually live it.
The 400+ Family Vision
We see a Minnesota where 400+ families are raising children who process information rapidly, learn anything they set their mind to, communicate clearly with anyone, and make decisions guided by what is best for all – not just what is best for themselves.
That vision starts with one family at a time. If you resonate, let’s connect!
What We Do
Everything we build connects back to this mission. Here’s how it shows up:
Self-Perfected Clubhouse — Our local monthly gathering in the south metro. The final Saturday of each month. Deep conversations, real breakthroughs, genuine community.
Self-Perfected Online Hangout — Every Friday night at 5 PM CST on Zoom. A global community united by two goals: become the best version of yourself, and create the best world possible. Running every Friday for 5 years straight.
Homeschool Haven MN — Nature-based community events for families. Third Thursday of every month at Dodge Nature Center in West St. Paul.
Homestead Haven — We have our 10 acre homestead as a haven for our community. We host workshops and seasonal festivals on our property! Seasonal, hands-on, community-driven.
Education — We work with families who want their children to learn at an extraordinary level. Kids in our community are reading years ahead of grade level, becoming confident to learn ANY subject. Whether you homeschool, or are an intentional parent who just genuinely wants the best for your kids, we have educational tools that can help massively.
Learn more about each of these on our Branches page.
The 13 Principles
Everything we do is guided by 13 principles that keep us grounded, honest, and accountable. Principle 1 – What is Best for All – is the foundation everything else is built on. Read all 13 principles here.

QUESTIONS MINNESOTA PARENTS ARE ASKING RIGHT NOW
Question 1 – What are the alternatives to public school in Minnesota?
Answer 1 – Public schools are failing our kids. We know as a parent it can feel overwhelming.
We have a specific curriculum and tools focused on comprehension, reading, academic success and overall child confidence. We use this with our kids, and multiple families locally do the same.
We educate from home (way beyond just standard ‘homeschool’) and we have kids in our community that are years ahead in terms of development and reading abilities.
We are building out a whole community with Homeschool Haven where we provide resources and learning plans for families that want their kids to thrive in the uncertain future of AI and rapid changes. This video helps you learn how to prepare your kid, and an alternate to public school. Watch this video for more information to learn how we can help
Question 2 – Can I homeschool in Minnesota if I’m not religious?
Answer 2 – We are not religious. We are principled. We care deeply about our kids morals, ethics and raising effective humans, but we found that the ‘homeschool’ world is split between religious and secular. We focus on helping kids become their absolute best they can be, to be confident to read any book, learn any subject, and have a community of supportive people around them. If you resonate with this we should connect.
Question 3 – How do I find like‑minded families in Minnesota?
Answer 3 – Come to our events, fill out the form here and we will get in touch!
Question 4 – Is my child going to be prepared for an AI‑driven future?
Answer 4 – Honestly if your kid is only in school, you should fill out the form above and get a reading assessment. The job market will be different when they grow up. We can help create a custom learning plan for you and your family so you are clear on what it takes for them to thrive in this AI-driven future! We do NOT use iPads with our kids nor do we let them use AI. There is a way better way to educate from home, and YOU as the parent ultimately get to decide how you want to raise them. We are here to help them speed up the learning and provide resources to help you do that.
